Ceramic workshop in which you experience creating with the potter's wheel and hand building.

The potter's wheel and hand building are very different ways of modeling clay. If you are a beginner and would like to try both ways or if you have already had contact with ceramics and would like to enjoy an experience in which you can create using different techniques, this workshop is for you.

As a project we will create a set of pieces in which each one will reflect a different technique.

After the workshop, the pieces produced will go through the drying process, they will be glazed and fired and will be ready to collect in six weeks.

  • 1 Session: Saturday 10h—14h

    Potter's Wheel: We will learn to prepare, center and model the clay to create two pieces with basic shapes between cups and bowls.

    Hand Building: Using the slab or pinch techniques we will learn to create one or two pieces between cups, bowls, vases or other creative objects.

    2 Session: Sunday 10h—14h

    Potter's Wheel: We are going to trim the pieces made the day before and add handles or other attachments.

    Hand Building: We will give the necessary finishes to the pieces modeled the day before, such as adding handles or other attachments and polishing.

  • Ceramic LAB

  • White or speckled stoneware; glaze colors of your choice; pottery tools; and firings.

  • Wear clothes that can get dirty; arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session.

  • The reservation can be canceled up to 15 days before the workshop date by sending an email to hi@oemaceramics.com. After 15 days a fee of €85 will be applied to the cancellation.
