The Renewal Service
JEWELRY
Oema’s jewelry is crafted with intention—made to be worn, cherished, and lived with. Over time, wear may alter the surface and finish of your piece, metals develop patina, plating softens, and surfaces change, reflecting their journey.
The Renewal Service offers a way to restore and refresh your treasured pieces, ensuring they remain part of your life for years to come. Each service is handled with care at Casa Oema or in partner workshops, respecting the original craftsmanship while making thoughtful adjustments to prolong the life of the piece.
The Renewal Service is exclusively available for Oema pieces.
SERVICES & POLICIES
-
What it does:
Over time, Sterling Silver and Gold Vermeil surfaces can naturally develop small scratches and a soft patina. Re-polishing gently removes surface wear, restoring the piece’s original satin finish while maintaining its integrity.Details:
– Can be done on Sterling Silver pieces or Gold-plated pieces.
– For Gold-plated jewelry, re-polishing is an option if the client wishes to fully remove the Gold-plating and keep the piece in Sterling Silver finish.
– A Sterling Silver plating and an additional protective layer are included, helping preserve the finish for longer while keeping the essence of the metal intact.Limitations:
– Does not remove deep scratches or dents—those remain as part of the piece’s history. -
What it does:
Gold Vermeil jewelry naturally wears with prolonged use, revealing the Sterling Silver base beneath. Re-plating restores the Gold layer, bringing back its original color and satin finish.Details:
– Oema works exclusively with 18k Gold Vermeil plating.
– 3-micron 18k Gold Vermeil layer will be applied to ear cuffs and earrings, and 5-micron 18k Gold Vermeil layer will be applied to rings and pendants.
– To ensure a flawless result, all re-plated pieces must also be re-polished before the new Gold layer is applied.Limitations:
– Does not remove deep scratches or dents—those remain as part of the piece’s history. -
What it does:
If a piece requires minor structural work—such as a loosened post, a slightly bent component, or other subtle adjustments—Oema offers repairs to ensure it remains secure and wearable.Possible Adjustments:
– Earring post tightening or straightening.
– Minor reshaping of soft bends (when possible).
– Cleaning of hard-to-reach areas.Limitations:
– If a piece is significantly damaged (e.g., broken, severely bent), a repair may not be possible.
